Sweet iron will rust when it comes into contact with (air) humidity; the surface rust tastes sweet and naturally stimulates the saliva production. This will cause the horse to salivate more which in turn encourages better acceptance of the bit. The rusting process (oxidation) changes the blue colour of the TRUST-bit to a brownish-grey. If a sweet iron bit is not used for a while, an orange-brown rust layer may develop on the mouthpiece. Simply remove this by wiping the bit with a damp cloth.
Trust loose ring double jointed pony collection. This is a double jointed or eliptical loose ring from the Trust brand. The mouthpiece has sweet iron parts. Stübben SteelTec Loose Ring 2 in 1 sweet copper. 1 Bit - 2 impact levels
1. If you buckle the more angular side of the bit towards the horse’s tongue, the pressure occurs more selectively. The manual guidance of the rider can therefore be more accurate with quite more effective aids.
2. If you buckle the round side towards the horse’s tongue, the pressure spreads over a larger area. The rounder side of the bit is a good option for sensitive horses.
Switching the sides of the bit from time to time prevents a desensitization of the horse’s mouth.
This bit is ideal for stables with a lot of horses but also for horses which are easy to ride at home but are more difficult on a show.

Trust inno sense loose ring mullen. This bit is available with a soft and hard mouthpiece. A mullen mouthpiece is a strong mouthpiece which creates direct pessure on the tongue. It is used to bring the horses head down. Both the flexibele soft and the hard are not bendable. The soft is made of the same material as the inno sense soft bits and the hard as the inno sense hard bits.
The soft synthetic mouthpiece has an anatomic design and is really soft. The flexible steel core ensures a longer durability of this bit. This bit is excellent for sensitive mouthed horses. The Inno Sense bits come in three different models: soft, medium & hard. The mouthpieces are available in the versions; flexi, mullen and port. Bits from the Inno Sense line can be used for every horse and particularly suitable for young horses and/or horses with a sensitive mouth. The synthetic material is FDA approved, which means the material does not contain plasticizers and is non-toxic to people and animals. In addition, the flexi- and mullen model of the Inno Sense Bits line are solid because of the application of a core of stainless steel. Horses that are ridden with an Inno Sense Bit follow the hand easily and accept the bit smoothly.

Trust loose ring medium port. The Eggbutt cheekpiece prevents pinching of the lips and give a slightly more solid feel against the side of the face. It also prevents the bit being pulled through the mouth. The release is slower and also introduces some poll pressure.
The medium port is a solid mouth piece. It is curved and ported to give tongue relief. The Happy Tongue would be a good place to start if your horse is: Shaking its head Sticking its tongue out Sucking its tongue back and as a result making an intermittent coughing noise Trying to put its tongue over the bit Going behind the bit to avoid the contact Snatching the reins forward and down The rider will know immediately if this is the correct bit, as a horse with a sensitive tongue will finally begin to work into, and accept the contact.
