Cleaning and care

The leather sections should be regularly conditioned with EGO7 boot cream to maintain the leather's elasticity and durability. After use, leather riding boots should be allowed to dry and stored in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place. Always keep them away from direct heat and sunlight to help prevent the leather from cracking or becoming stiff.

EGO7 leather conditioning cream also helps protect the surface against external influences while maintaining the ideal moisture level and appearance of the leather. Carefully apply EGO7 boot cream over the entire leather surface using a brush, leave it for a few minutes and then polish with a wool cloth. Use boot trees to help the boots retain their original shape. The practical inflatable boot trees supplied with the boots are ideal for keeping them in perfect condition.

The E-Tex inner panel provides additional durability and resistance and requires ZERO CARE. Do not apply polish, cream, spray or grease to this material, as chemical products may cause irreversible damage. Simply clean the E-Tex panel with a damp cloth to remove dirt.

Zips

The lifespan of the zips largely depends on how they are used and cared for. Much like a car tyre, wear is influenced by the amount of use, the conditions and the level of strain placed on it. Proper handling can help prevent unnecessary stress and extend the life of the zip:

• During the first few days, we recommend having someone else help close the zip. Leather riding boots should initially fit snugly and sit relatively high, as the leather will stretch slightly and the boots will drop with use. When closing the zip, gently stretch the elastic insert to avoid placing excessive strain on the zip.
• Always make sure the zip is completely open when putting on or taking off your boots. You can use the practical inner flap to help pull the boots on.
• Keeping the zip clean is important. Dirt, grease and sweat can interfere with smooth opening and closing and may eventually cause damage to the zip.
• Make sure clothing or other materials do not become trapped in the zip mechanism.
