Trust pelham eliptical. This Trust mouthpiece is designed to help the horse to mouth the bit and comfortably relax his jaw. The double joints remove the nutcracker action, as the bit stays in a curved shape, following the contours of the horse's mouth. Therefore the bar and palette pressure associated with single-jointed bits is removed.

Trust pelham leather. A leather bit is ideal for horses that do not accept the feel of metal in their mouths. It is soft and helps the horse to relax. Ideal for sensitive mouthed or young horses. The core of the bit is made of reinforced nylon. The leather that is stitched around this core, is naturally tanned without chemicals. The saliva production softens the leather bit and makes it more pleasant for the horse. The flexible mechanism in combination with the taste of the leather, makes the bit particularly suitable for horses with a sensitive mouth.

A pelham gives poll, chin and cheek pressure and is used in combination with a curb chain (included).

Trust inno sense swales pelham port. The synthetic ported mouthpiece is ergonomically shaped to allow space for the horse’s tongue. It gives maxiumum tongue relieve and is softer on the bars and is slower in applying tongue pressure. This pelham bit is available in medium and hard port and comes with a chain strap included.

The swales have the effect of weymouth and bradoon combination, but are less complicated. You can ride with 2 reins, one rein on the normal ring for a soft support and the other rein on the bottom ring for the effect of the bar. The Swales has loose rings for attaching the cheek pieces, so that the effect of the rein only affects the lower jaw. The swales are used (and supplied) in combination with a curb chain.

The Inno Sense bits come in three different models: soft, medium & hard. The mouthpieces are available in the versions; flexi, mullen and port. Bits from the Inno Sense line can be used for every horse and particularly suitable for young horses and/or horses with a sensitive mouth. Trust pelham dr. bristol. This bit has a center control plate mouthpiece set at a 45 degree angle to follow the contours of the horse’s tongue. Consequently, a horse who uses his tongue as a means of pushing against the bit and therefore taking control, will draw back and tuck his chin in, coming back to a better point of control.

Sweet iron will rust when it comes into contact with (air) humidity; the surface rust tastes sweet and naturally stimulates the saliva production. This will cause the horse to salivate more which in turn encourages better acceptance of the bit. The rusting process (oxidation) changes the blue colour of the TRUST-bit to a brownish-grey. If a sweet iron bit is not used for a while, an orange-brown rust layer may develop on the mouthpiece. Simply remove this by wiping the bit with a damp cloth.

Trust pelham jointed locked. The locking centre joint and curved mouthpiece of the Lock Up pelham are designed to remove the nutcracker action of a conventional single-jointed pelham, so this bit will bear less pressure on the bars of the horse’s mouth. The mouthpiece cannot bend beyond a certain point, so it remains in a curve in the mouth, rather than forming a V-shape that could rub the top of the horse’s palate. A pelham gives cheek, curb and poll pressure and is suited for strong horses. It is used with a curb chain which comes included with the bit.

A baby pelham like this bit is slightly more friendly than a regular pelham.

The pelham can be used with two reins or a single rein using a pelham strap. The pelham gives poll pressure and leverage on the mouthpiece and curb. 

This bit is available with a soft and hard mouthpiece. A mullen mouthpiece is a strong mouthpiece which creates direct pessure on the tongue. It is used to bring the horses head down. Both the flexibele soft and the hard are not bendable. The soft is made of the same material as the inno sense soft bits and the hard as the inno sense hard bits.

Trust Swales Pelham Medium Port. Ein Pelham mit einem mittleren Port der Marke Trust. Das Mundstück hat Sweet Iron teile.
